Can you feel it in the air? The holidays are here! With the way this year has gone, the season of holiday magic is a welcome relief. While our calendar isn’t as chock-full of festive events as it would typically be, Del Mar Plaza is bringing the holiday cheer nonetheless. Here are a few events to fit into your schedule this month.
Santa Photos by the Sea | Dec. 5-6
We kick off the Christmas season with a visit from Santa! The big man in the red suit will be at the Plaza the first weekend of December to meet the kids and share his sleigh for a socially-distanced photo opportunity. (Most shopping centers in the county are forgoing Santa visits so this may be your only chance this year for a photo with Saint Nick!) Reservations are $20 per family per session, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Fuel the Frontline San Diego, which provides crucial funds for Del Mar restaurants and meals for our local frontline healthcare workers.
Sandcastle Tales Presents Story Time with Ms. A | Tuesdays through December
One way to experience the magic of the holidays is to view it through the eyes of a child—and our Story Time with Ms. A always brings delight to kids. From inspirational winter tales to stories of yuletide cheer, this month’s books and crafts will bring the spirit of the holidays to your kids (and you too).
Kim Kelly Fit Workout Classes | Daily through December (except for Thursdays)
This might not seem like the most festive holiday activity, but getting a regular workout in will balance out all the cookies and treats you’ll be indulging in over the next month. Plus, the endorphins you get from these cardio, strength-training, and yoga classes will relieve your stress and help you feel cheerful all season long.
