Summer’s Almost Over! Here’s How to Take Advantage of the Last Few Days of the Season

We like to say that summer never ends in Del Mar, and if you’re looking at the weather, you’d probably agree. Nonetheless, from June to September, there’s something magical about the official summer season. You may have noticed the days becoming shorter, but that doesn’t mean summer is over just yet. Here are five ways to make the most of the last month of summer and have a blast with us at Del Mar Plaza.

Seaside Sessions

There’s only a handful of Seaside Sessions concerts left in the season, so make sure get to Del Mar Plaza to enjoy the live music before summer ends. Click here for the full line-up of artists.

Sip & Shop

Sip & Shop is the VIP event of the summer. Swing by the next few Thursdays of the month for specialty cocktails, tasty hors d’oeuvres, product samples, and giveaways at participating retailers and restaurants. After the event wraps up, stick around Del Mar Plaza for dinner and a Seaside Session concert.

Game Time

You still have two more weeks to bring your family out to Del Mar Plaza for Game Time. We’re setting up ping pong tables, cornhole, Foosball, and giant Jenga, Connect Four, checkers, and chess. After you’re done playing, you can stop by one of our restaurants for dinner or drinks!

Twilight Concert Series

The last Twilight Concert at Powerhouse Park will be on August 20th! Before you grab a spot on the grass for the show, make sure you pre-order a Gourmet Beach Box from our very own Pacifica Del Mar or Il Fornaio. Prices start at just $12 per box and include everything you need to go see a show and have some fun, plus free parking at Del Mar Plaza!

Taste of Del Mar

End summer the best way possible: with live music and food, beer, wine, and spirit tastings at Taste of Del Mar. More than 25 local restaurants and 15 craft breweries and wineries will be participating in an epic night of culinary delights. There will also be a special Seaside Session concert at Del Mar Plaza during the event with music from Sully and The Souljahs. For more information on the event, click here.
