At Del Mar Plaza, we like to ring in each new season with a small amount of pomp and circumstance, and fall is no different. Here’s how we suggest you celebrate along with us this year.
Update Your Wardrobe for Fall
No matter how many sweaters or scarfs you already have in your closet, there’s always room for more. (If that isn’t the case, may we recommend donating a few older pieces to make some room?) It’s no secret that sunsets in Del Mar are the most dramatic in the fall—and outdoor dining provides the perfect setting to witness the nightly spectacle. Find a New Seasonal Favorite
From pumpkin spice lattes to fall-favorite produce, the restaurants at Del Mar Plaza truly shine when it comes to celebrating the best ingredients of the season. Each of our restaurants have their own creative spins on fall’s offerings, so you can’t go wrong no matter where you snag a table. We suggest starting your night with a Pomegranita from Il Fornaio Del Mar, which is made fresh pomegranate juice. On cooler fall evenings, Shimbashi Izakaya’s Sukiyaki hot pot, made with seasonal vegetables, will warm you right up. And on crisp autumn mornings, start your day with a cozy Chai Tea Latte from Pacifica Breeze Café.
Add Some Fall Scents to Your Home
We’ll be trading in the citrus scents in our homes for aromas that better reflect the new season, like pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, sandalwood, sage, and salted caramel. That’s why we have our eye on Urban Girl Accessories’ ‘poured-to-order’ bowl candle; once you choose your favorite scent—like Strudel & Spice or Apple Maple Bourbon—the candle is poured and shipped in a reusable wooden bowl, so it doubles as decoration well into the next season.
Enjoy a Live Set
With so many events being moved online this year, live music seems like a real luxury. While many of us equate live concerts to summer nights under the stars, we’re keeping the tunes playing on into fall.
