It’s hard to believe it, but we’re approaching the last few days of summer. Because of the pandemic and social-distancing orders, summer 2020 has flown by! At Del Mar Plaza, we’re not ready to hang up our board shorts and roll up our beach towels just yet. There are still plenty of sunny summer days to take advantage of—and if you’re looking for a way to make the most of them and plan out the perfect end-of-summer day in Del Mar, keep reading.
Morning
Start your day with a delicious breakfast from Pacifica Breeze Café. The café is open for walk-up breakfast orders until noon. Take your food—and coffee, juice, or tea—down to the beach to soak up the sun while safely social distancing. (The Breakfast Burrito and Acai-Pitaya Bowl can easily be eaten on the go!)
Afternoon
Once the day starts to really heat up and you’ve had enough of the sun’s rays, head back to Del Mar Plaza and stop by some of our (air-conditioned) boutiques. Many of our shops—like Banana Republic, Coco Rose, Garys Studio, Sea Biscuit Del Mar, and Urban Girl Accessories—are in the middle of end-of-summer sales you won’t want to miss.
Evening
After you’ve had a bit of retail therapy, join us for dinner and to watch the sun set. Our award-winning restaurants are open for al fresco dining, and if you visit us on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, you can enjoy some live music during Seaside Sessions.
