No Tricks, Just Treats for Halloween at Del Mar Plaza

You may have been sipping your pumpkin spice latte since August and nibbling at the bags of candy that are supposed to be for trick-or-treaters since the beginning of the month, but as the end of October approaches, it’s officially Spooky Season! At Del Mar Plaza we’re celebrating all Halloween weekend long with family-friendly events. Mark your calendars, don your best costumes, and join us for a ghastly-good time.

Doggies on the Deck: Howl-O-Ween | Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11:00 – 2:00p.m.

We’re kicking things off with a day for the dogs! Del Mar Plaza is partnering with Kahoots to host a very special dog-friendly Halloween party out on our ocean view deck. We’ll have food, treats, and a variety of vendors, as well as a doggie Halloween costume contest. You (and your furry friend) don’t want to miss!

Halloween Movie Night: Hocus Pocus | Sunday, Oct. 27 from 6:30 – 9:00p.m.

There’s nothing spooky about our family-friendly screening of the Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus. Bring your blankets and chairs to our ocean view deck, and be ready for some treats! During the movie, Craft Corn, a local confectionary company, will be selling delicious popcorn in scary-good flavors like Churro and Watermelon Pineapple Tajín.

Lil Tritons Club, Halloween Hullabaloo | Thursday, Oct. 31 from 11:00 – 11:45a.m.

There’s no better way to get your kids into the Halloween spirit than with a Halloween-themed set from the children’s-folk musical duo, Hullabaloo. The show starts at 11:00AM, and as always, kids will get a free coloring page and crayons upon arrival.

Halloween Sweets & Treats | Thursday, Oct. 31 from 11:45 – 5:00p.m.

Following the Halloween edition of Lil Tritons Club, all the little witches, werewolves, ghouls, and goblins in attendance are invited to stick around for trick-or-treating at Del Mar Plaza. Participating stores—those with a pumpkin in their window—will be giving out magically delicious treats the rest of the afternoon (while treats last). Older kids are invited too, and costumes are encouraged for all.

Of course, we invite you to visit Del Mar Plaza even when the spine-chilling fun is done. Check out our calendar calendar for more special events at Del Mar Plaza.
