The smell of candy and pumpkin spice is in the air, which can only mean one thing… Halloween is upon us! Some people may think the holiday is all about little ones getting dressed up and going trick or treating, but at Del Mar Plaza we have events for “kids” of all ages.
Whether you’re celebrating with younger children who appreciate a scare-free experience, or want to get into the Halloween spirit with a few Halloween-themed spirits, we’ve rounded-up our favorite events this year. Mark your calendars, grab your ghouls, and come join us for a monstrously fun Halloween.
Halloween Movie Night | Sunday, Oct. 21
We’re starting the countdown to Halloween with a special screening of Ghostbusters out on our ocean view deck. It’s the perfect family-friendly way to help get you and your loved ones in the spooky spirit. Just bring your blankets and chairs, and come ready to eat! We encourage you to order a Gourmet Beach Box from Il Fornaio or Pacifica Del Mar so you can enjoy your favorite food during the film. (Order can be placed until 11PM on Oct. 20, and each box includes utensils and dishes.) You can also order takeout from Del Mar Rendezvous or wait and try some sweet and savory gourmet popcorn from Craft Corn.
Lil Tritons Club | Wednesday, Oct. 31
Lil Tritons Club is probably already your child’s favorite musical activity, so this month, we’re giving them an extra day to rock out—and this time, with a Halloween twist! Hullabaloo will be performing a special Halloween set from 11:00-11:45AM, and as always, kids will get a coloring page and crayons upon arrival. Immediately following the show, grab a table at Il Fornaio or Pacifica Del Mar where kids eat free, or visit Del Mar Rendezvous for 25% off your meal.
Early Trick or Treating | Wednesday, Oct. 31
Following the special, Halloween edition of Lil Tritons Club, your little ghosts and goblins can have the chance to show off their costumes and trick or treat around the Plaza. Every retail store with pumpkins in the window will be handing out delicious treats throughout the afternoon and into the evening (while treats last).
Pacifica Del Mar’s Halloween Party | Wednesday, Oct. 31
Of course, Halloween isn’t just for the kids! Adults can get in on the fun as well at Pacifica Del Mar’s Halloween Party. There will be a costume contest, live DJ from 6-11PM, delicious bites, and spooky-good cocktails.
