Join Del Mar Plaza and the Del Mar Village Association for a socially-distanced Santa photo opportunity for the family! Dress up the kids (or dogs) and reserve a time to take your holiday photos in Santa’s sleigh, with a live Santa nearby.
Reservations are $20 per family per session, with a portion of proceeds donated to Fuel the Frontline San Diego, which provides crucial funds for Del Mar restaurants and meals for our local frontline healthcare workers.

- – Sandcastle Tales will offer Christmas story time with an accompanying craft project, $10 per child (sign up and pay onsite)

FAQs
What precautions is Del Mar Plaza taking to keep my family safe? This Santa photo opportunity has been specially designed and fabricated to ensure guests remain socially distanced with others and with Santa. It is a touch-free experience from beginning to end, with line markers six feet apart, staff to take and send the photos, and regular disinfecting of the activation. Reservations will also ensure there are never too many guests in line at any given time.
As always, Del Mar Plaza requires face masks be worn at all times, and hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the shopping center.
Where can I make a reservation? Click here to reserve a time for your family’s photos via Eventbrite. You will be sent a confirmation email to print or show on your phone when checking in on your designated day and time.
Can I take photos without a reservation? All families must make a reservation to take photos with Santa. We will take reservations onsite for walk-ups if there are timeframes still available, but we recommend reserving your spot ASAP.
Why is my reservation for a timeframe and not a specific time? We are asking guests to reserve a timeframe because we cannot promise a to-the-minute reservation. We will be doing our very best to get everyone’s pictures taken in a timely fashion; as with many things during this pandemic, we are doing this for the first time and ask for your patience as we navigate this new normal together.
Note: If you check in after your designated timeframe, we can’t guarantee you will be able to take your pictures, so please arrive on time.
What do I need to bring to check in?
Please bring the confirmation email you received from Eventbrite, either printed or pulled up on your phone.
How many photos will I receive, and how will I receive them? A designated staff member will take up to three photos with an iPad. You will be able to instantly text the photos to your mobile phone, and the photos will also be available on an online gallery on this page after December 6th.
Can I go through the line again after my family takes photos? Yes, although you will need to make another reservation. Each reservation is for one session in the activation with Santa.
Are my reservations refundable? We’re sorry, but reservations are nonrefundable.
